The Port Charlotte 10 year old expression is everything an Islay whisky can and should be.

A heavily peated malt (40PPM), trickle distilled through tall, narrow-necked stills for a balanced, heather scented barbeque smoke. 65% of the liquid is matured in first-fill American whiskey casks, 10% second-fill American whiskey casks and 25% second-fill French wine casks before being bottled - the final stage of a production completed entirely on Islay.
