Holyrood Distillery continuously challenge the norms and push the boundaries of Scotch whisky by not following the traditional approach of releasing age statements, nor focusing on the same flavour profile or relying on a core expression.

Embra is the distillery's first peated single malt - using heavily peated and chocolate malts and an array of wine and ale yeasts then aged in first-fill Bourbon, peated Islay quarter casks and American new oak barrels. It perfectly balances bold, smoky flavours and textures with a lightness of touch that makes it accessible to a new whisky drinker.
