Lindores Abbey Distillery • Thiron Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Lindores Abbey Distillery • Thiron Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Lindores Abbey is widely recognised as the home of the first recorded distillation of Scotch whisky in 1494. Nestled within idyllic Scottish countryside, Lindores Abbey Distillery has been making modern Scotch whisky since 2017 when the state of the art distillery was built amongst the ruins of the old monastery.
Thiron is the inaugural bottling in a series of annual releases using French virgin oak casks, available only to Lindores Abbey Distillery, crafted from oak hewn from the forests of the French village of Thiron-Gardais. Married with matured malt from first-fill Bourbon casks and STR red wine barriques creating a beautiful, characterful single malt.
